Your group has been resurrected!
As you may well know, Jennifer, our Founder, was banned from DA for what she says is an invalid reason. The group has been stagnant since then - no new members or submissions. I have been given permission to take over your group as the new Founder.
I am humbled to have been given the opportunity to continue the wonderful work that Jennifer has started. We can now accept new members and new submissions to the galleries. The same high standards for submissions to which Jennifer adhered will be enforced so that only the very highest quality art will be in our galleries.

After numerous road trips to California and its famous Muscle Beach, Bellas realized his true calling was photography, so he took the necessary steps to make his hobby his new profession. He had a natural flair for composition and lighting, and at Muscle Beach there was easy access to superstar bodybuilders — most of whom were not gay, but who were proud of their bodies and willing to pose for him at his studio. Bellas' work appeared in Joe Weider's "muscle" magazines and later in his own magazine The Male Figure , which he launched in To closeted men everywhere, they sent a message that 'you're not alone.
Some publishers, like Bob Mizer , the founder of 'Physique Pictorial' magazine, even did jail time. Bellas' influence on contemporary physique photography is acknowledged in the work of Herb Ritts , Bruce Weber b. The Bellas archive featured in UCA's September 26 auction is the property of art director Dimitri Levas , who was Mapplethorpe's close friend and set stylist, and who currently serves on the board of The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation.

This season the designer eschewed the buzz of instantly comprehensible graphics or silhouettes for a palette borrowed from Yves Saint Laurent.
